Tow-away measures bicycles and mopeds
Because of King’s Day on April 27th 2018 all bicycles and mopeds will be removed from the city centre of Groningen. They will be taken to 1 location. On King’s Day itself this temporary bicycle depot is closed. Removed bicycles/mopeds can be collected on Saturday April 28th and from Monday April 30th until Friday May 4th 2018. There are no expenses involved.

The temporary bicycle depot can be reached by bus on line 3 or line 4. Stop: Oliemuldersbrug.

Saturday April 28th 2018, 10 am – 2 pm
Monday April 30th until Friday May 4th 2018, 12 noon – 5 pm
Note: on King’s Day (Friday April 27th 2018) the temporary bicycle depot is closed!
No expenses, no compensation
You do not have to pay anything when you collect your bike/moped. However, you have to bring the key to your bicycle/moped lock in order to prove ownership. If a bicycle/moped was attached to something (or to another bike/moped), it is most likely we have cut your bicycle/moped chain. The organization does not compensate for broken bicycle locks.
Tow-away measures cars and motorbikes
If your car or motorbike is parked in a no-parking zone, it may be removed by the municipality of Groningen. The costs of towing away your car or motorbike have to be paid by the owner. Before you can collect your car, you have to pay the tow-away costs at one of the municipal offices.

Costs tow-away and location for paying
The tow-away of your car or motorbike costs: € 260,15.
You have to pay it by bank card (PIN) at the municipal office on this address:

You also have to bring your vehicle registration card and an identification card.
You can reach the Harm Buiterplein by bus; take line 12, or by train, get off at Groningen Europapark station.
